The piece is greatly influenced by the Brecker Brothers and their characteristic style can be heard throughout. A harmoniser can optionally be used for the soprano saxophone. This piece was inspired by a series of improvisations and has a middle eastern vibe at times. Sandbox is recorded on Electric Dawn (Sospiro Records). Tech Requirements: Performing this piece requires a click track to synchronise the opening. The click track is provided, so you need to be able to start this at the same time as the backing track. Other effects required for a full performance of the piece are a long reverb and an octave pedal (Though it can still be performed without these).
